About this Event
The Unity Engagement Men’s Movement is made up of over 900 Black Men from various walks of life that are committed to saving the lives of Baltimore’s Black men, youth, and families through direct action. Direct action means that we bring resources and love directly to those who are most in need but least likely to seek services. With a unified purpose and city-wide distributive leadership strategy that spans several communities across Baltimore, African American Male Engagement (which is part of The Mayor’s Office of Children and Family Success), along with a host of churches, organizations, and volunteers from different neighborhoods, religions, and socioeconomic backgrounds, gather and engage a selected community every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Partners Include Muhammad Mosque Number 6 (F.O.I), Kingdom Life Church, St Martins Church of Christ, Changing Lives Ministries of Baltimore, Seeds of Promise, The Movement Team, New Shiloh Baptist Church, The Baltimore Teachers Network, Safe Street Baltimore, The Mayor’s Office of Employment Development, Church of the Redeemed of the Lord, and a host of others.
Our goal is to activate 10 thousand Black Men as providers and protectors in the communities we live, work, and worship; credible role models, working unselfishly with the collective assets of many, making direct and massive impact that saves lives and provide a pathway to excellence. Those interested in participating in the engagement walks or for those who have resources that will better the lives of Black men, youth, and families can get connected and sign-up to be a fisherman at aamebaltimore.com or contact John Price at 443-467-7535.
