Center for African American Male Engagement

Repeating any action again and again creates a habit. As stated by Dr. Andrey Bundley, Director of the Mayor’s Office of African American Male Engagement – Baltimore (MOAAME), “Whatever we do most, we do best.” This stands true for both positive and negative acts of repetition. Proof of this undeniable truth lies in the evolution of mankind, and more specifically in the case of African American Males over the course of many decades.

The goal of MOAAME is to work with African American Males who desire to build positive and constructive habits to beat any obstacles that life may place in the way of their excellence.

Any African American Male child, youth or adult may sustain his trajectory toward excellence considering there is a place for them to develop positive and constructive behavior repetitively. Under the management of Tracy Estep (Senior Manager of Operations and Programming), the MOAAME team collaborates with community stakeholders to provide the assistance that are especially needed by Black Boys & Men in Baltimore.

We provide assistance to any and everyone, regardless of race, gender, age, or economic status as each person is human and we are here to help as best we can to help you successfully navigate the road toward your excellence.

As we help to remove barriers toward each boy or man’s excellence, we expose Center participants to our Mission186 Core Values

  1. Seek to Give First
  2. Acquire a Healthy Heart and Mind
  3. Establish a Personal (Life) Plan – Now and in the Future
